FAQ
What materials are used for the 3D maps?
Our 3D printed maps are made using high-quality PLA filament. PLA is a plastic derived from renewable resources like cornstarch. While PLA is technically biodegradable under industrial composting conditions, it does not readily break down in natural environments or home composting systems. This makes it a more environmentally friendly option compared to traditional petroleum-based plastics, but proper disposal is still important.
How do I care for my 3D map?
To care for your 3D printed map, avoid placing it in direct sunlight or exposing it to high temperatures. Use a hair dryer set to cold (do not use warm) and blow over it several times to remove any dust. If necessary you can use a dry cloth and wipe it.
How accurate are the maps?
We strive to give an accurate representation for visualization purposes with our 3D maps, however accuracy is not guaranteed and the maps should not be used for navigation purposes.
Can I return or exchange my 3D map?
Due to the custom nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges. However, if there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your item, and we will do our best to resolve it.
What data do we use to make our maps?
We get our data from a variety of sources, including:
Map data from OpenStreetMap openstreetmap.org/copyright
Map data from LINZ https://data.linz.govt.nz/
Map data from Copernicus DEM https://documentation.dataspace.copernicus.eu/APIs/SentinelHub/Data/DEM/resources/license/License-COPDEM-30.pdf
